Rasheed has previously been employed in the Public Service (TVET Sector) as an Employee Relations Practitioner, Rhodes University as an Employee Relations Manager and later appointed as a Director at AEH Legal and Labour Consultancy (Pty) Ltd. Rasheed has also been employed as a lecturer at the Nelson Mandela University where he lectured at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels and successfully supervised a number of LLM students. He has also published and presented papers at local and international conferences and peer reviewed a number of academic articles for publication.
Rasheed served as an associate and later as the Principal trainer in the Faculty of Law: Labour and Social Security Law Unit (LSSLU) where he trained a significant number of local and multi-national companies, trade unions, government departments as well as municipalities on employment-law. Rasheed holds the following qualifications: Baccalaureus Artium; Baccalaureus Artium Honores; Certificate in Labour Law Practice (CCMA accredited commissioner training); Legum Baccalaureus (LLB) and Legum Magister (Labour Law)- cum laude.
